MAM in the Neighborhood
This free summer program brings MAM's trained Teaching Artists to a wide range of summer camps and community centers throughout Miami-Dade County. Campers receive art supplies and activities to create their own artwork. Participants are then invited to the Museum for lively exhibition tours. For more information on how your group can participate call the education department at 305-375-5466.
Brick x Brick
Brick by Brick is an innovative after school program for teens who live near the Museum's new home in Museum Park. It uses MAM’s building project to inspire integrated problem-solving and provide direct experience in fields such as architecture, computer graphics, geography, landscape design and sociology.

MAM Art Storytime
In January of 2008, MAM piloted a new monthly after school program with the United Way Center for Excellence in Early Education. Pre-school students enjoy an art-related book reading followed by a related hands-on activity. Sessions begin and end in song and the books are donated to the Center library.
By popular demand, the program has expanded from monthly to weekly visits, focusing on a different class each month. Featured books and projects have included A is for Artist with magic “scratch” paper letter drawing, It Looked like Spilt Milk with white paint on blue paper “blot” shape identification and When Pigasso Met Mootisse with re-coloring of masterpiece copies. Tours at MAM by our Teachinf Artists are offered when possible and appropriate, where the Center’s staff may observe object-based learning in action.
