On August 11th, Second Saturdays are Free for Families featured “Ancient Rhythms” with drum-making inspired by the exhibition Transcultural Pilgrim: Three Decades of Work by José Bedia. Special guest artists Oscar Fuentes & Friends wowed the crowd playing an array of drums, chanting and getting everyone in on the act with call and response. A percussive procession followed as everyone marched to the beat with their own drum as they circled the room. It was an afternoon of art and rhythm that couldn’t be beat! View images
